In today’s world, the most important political agenda that we can support is the education of our children. While the world needs young people who are intellectually skilled, it is also vital to have young people who are ethically minded, committed to the preservation of our natural resources, aware of the interconnectedness of all cultures, and balanced in terms of heart, mind, and body.

All independent schools are committed to academic excellence. Few schools, however, encourage students to achieve the balance of heart, mind, personal development and examination of larger ethical concerns in the same way that BHS does.

The purpose of a BHS education is to guide students on their path towards becoming life-long learners. Our school motto, “Aun Aprendo”, (I am still learning), is at the heart of everything we do at BHS. The faculty at BHS are committed to this motto and they are dedicated to a life of altruism and community building.

Money donated to the Annual Fund helps to keep this dream alive. The Annual Campaign provides an opportunity for all of us to accept some responsibility for providing the best possible environment for our students. Together, we can ensure that Besant Hill School remains vibrant.

The goals for our Annual Campaign are many:

• To continue to offer substantial financial aid.
• To supplement faculty salaries.
• To continue to offer those extras that make BHS special: Outdoor Education, field trips, additional equipment and curriculum, guest lecturers, etc.

We need to reach our goal of $200,000 in order to keep operating at our current level of instruction and program offerings. Because the Annual Fund is used for current operations, your gift to the Annual Campaign has an immediate benefit towards the education of our students.
